PlayStation 3 Slim Finally Announced

That's right, today at Gamescom, Sony announced the PlayStation 3 Slim.

Not only is the device 33% lighter than the original, but it's also cheaper, at $299, and comes with a 120GB hard drive. And all of those 80GB PS3s still on store shelves also get the price drop at $299, until they run out.

Oh, and guess what. The Slim is coming out pretty soon. Not next year, not for the holidays, no. It is coming out the first week of September. Yeah, that's less than a month away.

If I was Nintendo or Microsoft, I'd start getting worried.
