PS3 firmware v2.41 + MGO update

In the wee hours of the morning, Sony launched Playstation 3 firmware v2.41; which is intended to fix some errors caused by 2.40 after it was taken down. So really this is the first time that everyone can experience the in-game XMB and Trophies. Being as I was using 2.40 and now 2.41, I have noticed a couple differences. For instance the design of the Trophies is slightly changed, and the icon matches the new design. Also, the platinum trophy is no longer a pink crown, and is instead a stylistic platinum trophy; rightfully so. I've also noticed that thee is less lag in the in-game XMB.

And for you Metal Gear Online players, there's a couple additions to the game. And no worries, no update required, just log in, and check your Mailbox for details. What you get is a brand new mode to play, Team Sneaking Mission. What this mode does is has one team in stealth camo, without lethal weapons (so you just get tranquilizers and harmless grenades), and the other team is to find a eliminate the other team. If spotted a radar will activate and blow your teams cover. I played a bit of it myself, it's slow but fun. And another update is a new setting for custom matches; Headshots Only!!, which will only count headshots as kills, all othr deaths will count against you. It sounds fun to me as I'm usually, exclusively a sniper.
