If these colors seem a bit familiar to you, then it's because Nintendo has used them in the past.
They can be seen since before the Wii was named as such, but instead, was the Revolution, and Nintendo made of that collection possible colors that the Revolution would come in. You can also see some of the colors used in the Gameboy Color.
It's just interesting that Nintendo seems to reuse the same colors over and over again as opposed to coming up with some new, interesting hues.
