Radiohead contest winners' videos

While Radiohead already turned one of its contest winners videos into the official video for 'Reckoner', we've yet to see the other three winners' videos from aniBOOM's contest ... until now. Radiohead have just put all three of the videos on their YouTube account. While they may not be "official videos" they were still picked by the band, so that's pretty cool.

I was a fan of the 'Reckoner' video l0ng before it was made official, same with Stretch's 'Weird Fishes'. Still can't say I'm a fan of the '15 Step' or 'Videotape' videos though, as anime doesn't really work for Radiohead's music, and the other isn't really animation. But I wasn't the judge. The least I can say is that it's nice to see the improvements made from each of these videos' original versions.

'Reckoner' - official video

The first video of the winners from Radiohead and aniBOOM's contest is now available. The video is for the In Rainbows track, "Reckoner", and was made by Clement Picon. Turns out the band liked his final video so much that they agreed to make it the official video for the track.


This was one of my personal favorites ever since the start of the contest, so it's really neat seeing it, not only completed, but as an official video for the band.

Radiohead chooses 4 in aniBOOM contest

The contest aniBOOM held to create a music video for Radiohead came to a halt today, when Radiohead announced the winner or now, winners of the contest. Four of the five finalists will be given $10,000 in order to create the final versions of their music videos. It must really suck to be that fifth guy though...

Radiohead: In Rainbows Animated Music Videos

So, that Radiohead music video contest? Remember that? Well it's down to the top 10 semifinalists. I looked through them myself and they are all extremely creative, while some more than others, all are very interesting and different. I recommend you go over and watch a couple if you have a few moments to spare; while JDW didn't quite make the cut, they're all still very well done.
