A Thought on Box Art

This awesome and official minimalist box art by Olly Moss for Resistance 3 almost makes me want to buy the game just for that reason... but then I remembered it's Resistance 3.*

Either way, if it sells well, I hope more publishers go with 'Criterion' box art like this instead of the usual guy/girl front and center with big guns and/or muscles/boobs.

Class it up, game industry, class it up.

*I'm aware that Resistance has its fans, and that the games are well made. But from what I've experience from demos of the game, it's just not for me. And let's be honest, the boxart for Resistance 2 was pretty crap/generic when compared to the need-no-explanation photo cover used for the first game.

Resistance 2 Beta

I know, we're just booming with news today! I just received my invite to the Resistance 2 Beta. To be honest, Resistance 2 wasn't a game I was overly looking forward to, mainly because I don't have Resistance: Fall of Man, and I'm not a huge fan of FPS titles. But if I get a better feel for the game after playing the Beta, I'll surely look into the final product.

As for coverage, I just have to make sure there's no 'confidentiality agreement' as there was with LittleBigPlanet. Plus, I still need a firmware upgrade and wait for it to download...

Resistance 2 ... viral marketing?

Looks like SCEA's trying to hop the The Dark Knight madness with a viral campaign of their own. I just got an e-mail from SCEA (nice was to disguise yourselves, guys) regarding human testing, and a logo similar to Resistance's (as far as I know...). Check the page out for yourself I guess...

America First America Only

UPDATE: It's definitely for Resistance 2, I found this in the files ...
