This Week in Fringe - 1/21/10

Back to a regular week of Fringe, at a regular time slot, with an on time review! Alrighty, let's get this over with...

Episode 12 - "What Lies Below"

I'm honestly getting sick of this show. Week after week, case after case, and yet the show's main story still doesn't progress. Sure, there's a little special line here and there that reveals... something, but if you wrangled up all the main story-based episodes of this series you'd have about... eight episodes. Anyways..

This week's episode revolves around a man's mysterious death inside of a building, but upon investigation the mysterious pathogen spreads, and Olivia and Peter are now trapped inside the quarantined building. Now it's up to Walter and Astrid to figure out how to stop the virus from the outside before it's too late.

My problem with the episode is that it's yet another 'mysterious disease and the original guy is dead what do we do now?' episode, the only difference between this and every other similar episode is that Peter is infected and might die. Sure, everyone on screen looks emotional... but I sure wasn't gripped by this one.

Overall Score: 6.5/10
