This Week in Lost - 4/15/09

Season 5 comes to unlucky number thirteen. Does this week's episode deliver, or does it get some bad luck? (Puns, I know...)

Episode 13 - "Some Like It Hoth"

JDW Says: Certainly a new way to start an episode, this week opens up with an interesting scene from Miles' childhood; though it soon returns to 1970s Dharma territory, with Miles in focus for once. The rest of the episode goes back and forth with Miles' life, giving us a look at his his peculiar talents as well as his weird fashion choices. It also delves into Miles daddy troubles, and yes, questions are answered.

Well, it was certainly an interesting episode. Once again, nothing really happened in terms of major events and/or revelations. However, it was the first time in a long time that we got to see into Miles' character, and I much enjoyed that diversion for once. And for those wonder about the title, yeah, they mention Star Wars a few times.
JDW's Score: 8/10

Zach says: Well, this week I think a backwards step was made. This week seemed to fall back into the drama trap, and edged a bit back from actual, interesting storyline. The episode focuses on Miles, his ability to talk to dead people, as well as his daddy issues. His dad is a pretty interesting fellow, as it turns out.

Anyways, that's about the whole episode. Ben's dad suspects Kate, Sawyer gets in trouble, and something is going on on the island, including the construction of "the hatch." A familiar face also makes a return, but of course, this, the best part of the episode, occurs at the very end. Lame.
Zach's Score: 6/10

Overall Score: 7/10

Well, while our scores may differ, we can at least agree on one thing ... Miles has "daddy issues".

Also, no This Week in Lost next week unfortunately, as ABC is taking another week off to feed us a clip show. However... the episode two weeks from now looks promising, especially after this week's cliffhanger, so why don't you stick around?
