This Week In Lost - 3/4/09

It's that time of the week again, here is This Week in Lost for March 4th, 2009!

Episode 8 - "LaFleur"

JDW says: So much for last weeks cliffhanger with Locke and the new crashees, as this week brings us back to the familiar island dwellers during the time after Locke left the island. And... let's just say it's not present day. No boring Ocean Six, just some interesting back and forth of how the island dwellers survive in their current time.

Well, first off the episode certainly surprised me, more so cause I wasn't sure what to expect after last week, but it in itself is a good episode. While the episode did offer up a lot of answer from this season, it teased viewers by including a giant statue earlier in the episode (presumably connected to that four toed foot) and never went any further with that, sadly. None the less, if wanted to see more of DHARMA, and are a fan of Sawyer and/or Juliet, this episode is sure to please. I can't say it's better or worse than last week, but both are equally up there, so it gets the same score.
JDW's Score: 9.2/10

Zach says: After getting screwed last night with a crappy cable company, I got to watch the episode online, which are put up sometime during the night the episode airs. Anyways, I watch it, and while most of the plot seems rather irrelevant, it leads to a few answers and some very interesting future plot drivers.

The episode focuses on the island crew after Locke fixes the time problem. They are now stuck in the 1970's when the Dharma Initiative are working. After a bit of plot, and some flash forwards and backs between 3 years, we find out that the island gang have joined up with the Dharma Initiative as they wait for Locke to come back.

Because of this, it starts making sense why we saw Jin in the Dharma van last episode, and why we saw Faraday in the Orchid in like, the first episode. And as we know, Sawyer is good with the ladies, and managed to hook up with Juliet, so it will be interesting to see how him and Kate get along now and what happens with that.

So now, we know that both the island crew and the Oceanic 6 are back together, but in the past, around 1975, give or take 5 years. It will be interesting to see what will happen with them and the Dharma Initiative and the Others. Some crazy awesomeness is going to go down, so be ready.
Zach's Score: 8.5/10

Overall Score: 8.9/10

Sorry to say, there will be no This Week in Lost next week due to the next episode not premiering until 2 weeks from now. Don't blame us, blame ABC.
