Word is from the Japanese launch events for Metal Gear Solid 4, which were postponed due to the recent stabbings in Akihabara, that the stand alone version of Metal Gear Online will be releasing in Japan on July 17th for 1,800 yen.
Here's the deal though with the current exchange rate1,800 Yen is equal to 16.9603 US Dollars... Which sounds great, a Blu-Ray for just $17?! That's awesome even if you can get it with the awesome Metal Gear Solid 4 for just $60. But chances are it won't release for $17 dollars here, for marketing purposes that's just crazy. But if the title releases with enough extra features that aren't in MGS4's rendition, than I'll heavily consider it, especially at such a low price.
